Data You Give Us Directly
Search Queries
A name or location entered in a search box is sent to the outside provider that operates that tool. The provider processes the query and supplies its results. We do not keep a local log of those search terms.
Messages and Contact Submissions
An email or direct message may be retained long enough to answer and maintain the exchange. It is not shared outside our organization unless disclosure is legally required.
Data We Gather Automatically
When a page loads, ordinary server and analytics systems may record technical details about the visit:
- Page-view dates, times, and visit duration
- Browser name and version
- Device category and operating system
- Pages viewed during the session
- The referring website, when one is supplied
- The device's assigned IP address
Cookies and Analytics
Cookies are small files placed on a device. They help aggregate traffic patterns, such as popular pages and common exit points. Analytics providers assist with that measurement. Browser controls can block cookies, although some functions may then work differently.
What We Do With This Data
- Delivering a query to the selected outside search provider
- Maintaining site performance and availability
- Finding and repairing technical faults
- Measuring which content is useful or needs improvement
- Selecting advertising that may be relevant
No Criminal-Record Data on File
We do not maintain, compile, or sell a database of personal criminal-record information. The published material explains how Delta County records are requested from the sheriff, courts, Texas Department of Public Safety, and Texas Public Sex Offender Registry. Visitor data is not assembled into a record about another person or a consumer report, and this site is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act.
Third-Party Search Partners
Outside companies power the search boxes. Their privacy terms, retention periods, and sharing rules govern data submitted to them. Review the provider's policy before running a query because those practices are beyond our control.
Links to Other Websites
Links may lead to Delta County offices, Texas agencies, courts, legal resources, or outside tools. Once a visitor leaves this site, the destination's privacy policy controls. Read it before providing personal information.
Advertising providers may use their own systems to measure activity across websites and select ads.
Who Might See Your Data
We do not sell personal data. Some information may end up with:
- Analytics providers that measure traffic and performance
- Outside search companies that receive a submitted query
- Advertising networks serving content on the pages
- A government or law-enforcement body acting under a valid legal demand
How We Protect Your Data
Reasonable security practices are used for data under our control. No internet service can guarantee that a breach, loss, or unauthorized access will never occur.
Users Under 18
This service is intended for adults, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. A verified report involving a minor's data will be addressed through the available deletion process.
Your Data Rights
Applicable law may provide additional rights. Texas Government Code Chapter 552 governs public information held by government bodies, while sections 411.083 and 411.135 set separate limits for criminal-history information held by Texas DPS. Those government-record laws do not convert this private site into a public records custodian. Subject to applicable law, you may:
- Request access to personal data held about you
- Seek correction of inaccurate information
- Ask for deletion when the law permits it
- Object to or opt out of certain processing
Updates to This Policy
We may revise this policy. A new effective date will appear here when the terms change, and the posted version will govern future use.
